Treatments

Most care plans combine a few of these. Your therapist explains why each part is there, and you can say no to anything at any point.

Hands-on work is one tool among several. Exercise you can do at home is usually the larger part of a plan.

  • Initial assessment

    60 min

A conversation about your history and goals, a movement assessment, and a first treatment. You leave with a written summary and a few exercises to start with.

  • Follow-up physiotherapy

    50 min

One-to-one sessions with the same therapist. Each visit starts with a check-in on how the week went and adjusts the plan from there.

  • Manual therapy

    Within sessions

Hands-on techniques such as joint mobilization and soft-tissue work, used alongside exercise when your therapist thinks it is a good fit.

  • Sports and running rehab

    50 min

For runners, hikers, climbers and weekend players. Includes load planning and a gradual, written return-to-activity schedule.

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation

    50 min

Care that follows your surgeon's protocol. With your permission, we send progress notes to your surgical team.

  • Pelvic health physiotherapy

    60 min

Assessment and treatment with a therapist trained in pelvic health, in a private room. Internal examination is always optional.

Your therapists

Three licensed physical therapists, each with their own treatment room. When you book, you can choose a therapist or take the first opening.

Dr. Lena Okafor

PT, DPT. Clinic director

Lena founded Bajada after a decade in hospital outpatient clinics. She works mostly with knee, hip and post-surgical rehab and likes a clear plan with fewer, better exercises.

Your first visit

New patients get a 60-minute appointment. Here is how that hour usually goes.

What to bring

  • Photo ID and your insurance card, if you're using insurance
  • A list of current medications
  • Any imaging reports or surgical notes you have
  • Clothes you can move in; shorts are helpful for knee or hip visits
  1. Before you arrive

We email a short intake form after you book. It takes about ten minutes and means less paperwork at the front desk. Please arrive five minutes early.

  2. A proper conversation

Your therapist asks about what's going on, what you've already tried, and what you'd like to get back to. This usually takes the first fifteen minutes.

  3. Assessment

Gentle movement, strength and joint testing, chosen for your situation. Your therapist explains each test and asks before any hands-on work.

  4. A plan you understand

You'll talk through what was found, try a first treatment, and leave with a written plan: home exercises, a suggested number of visits, and the reasoning behind it.

  5. After the visit

Your exercises and notes arrive by email the same day. If anything is unclear, reply and your therapist will answer within one business day.

Do you accept insurance?

We work with many commercial health plans. Send us your plan details when you book and we'll check your physical therapy benefits before your first visit, including any copay, deductible or visit limits.

If we're out of network for your plan, we can give you an itemized receipt (a superbill) to submit for possible reimbursement.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

Often not. You can book directly, and we'll let you know if your situation or your insurance plan requires a physician referral before treatment continues.

Can I use an HSA or FSA card?

Yes. Physical therapy is generally an eligible expense, and we accept HSA and FSA cards like any other debit or credit card. Check with your plan administrator if you're unsure.

Which payment methods do you take?

Major credit and debit cards, HSA and FSA cards, and contactless payments. We don't accept cash or checks.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or move an appointment. Late cancellations and missed visits may be charged a $40 fee. We'll always make exceptions for emergencies.

Will I know the cost before treatment?

Yes. Before your first visit we'll share what we expect you to pay per session, based on your benefits check or our self-pay rates. If anything changes, we tell you before the next visit.
